About Me & Guest Book
This is me prior to boarding HB-IWE for its final flight to Zurich at Chicago in October 2004.
My name is Kevin Stokes. I work as a Train Driver for EWS Railways in Eastleigh, Hampshire, UK. I have been interested in avaition for around 15 years. I remember seeing Swissair MD11 HB-IWA at Heathrow in 1991 and was struck by how much better it looked with its winglets than its predeccessor the DC10 and i guess i've been hooked since. Money and time off permitting i hope to fly on as many of these fine aircraft as possible. I've always preferred tri-jets anyway-they seem to me to have more character than todays boring efficient 'twins'. I hope you like the site. Please email me with any comments, suggestions, corrections etc.
Thanks to all of you who have signed the guest book. Any comments/remarks wether good or bad (though hopefully few) are gratefully recieved. A few people who have signed have left questions or requests for information. I have found that on some of these when i try and reply, there is no link from the persons name. At the bottom of this page is a direct link to my email address and this will be the quickest/easiest way of getting hold of me.
There is also a link to the MD11 forum set up with the help and co-operation with the MD80 International Forum and Jan-Erik. The MD11 forum is under the section 'On Remote Stand'. You will need to register to use this forum. It is still in its infancy but will hopefully get bigger over time.
My old guestbook service has shut down, thanks to everyone who signed it and please feel free to sign the new one.
